Charlize Harlow x Glyos Buildman (Rotopol Exclusive)

Charlize Harlow x Glyos Buildman (Rotopol Exclusive)

September seems to be a good month for me for getting things done. Hot on the heels of my custom Jouwe and my custom Eyezon comes this rotopolpress exclusive run of Charlize Harlow.

This edition of 10 was cast in green resin with clear grey Glyos Buildman parts and painted with Monster Kolor color change automotive effect paint. The toy will be available first at the Comic Festival in Hamburg this weekend (23.09.2010 – 25.09.2010). Remaining units will be sold via rotopolpress.de later on.

The effect paint is notoriously hard to take pictures of but here is one that gives a relatively good impression of what it looks like.

A single unit.

And, I believe I haven’t shown a picture of the packaging either. Bagged in a static shielding bag with back card and header.

And finally the whole thing is done. A cock-mecha-monster with wires and everything else a cyborg may wish for.

The Jouwe is painted with automotive paint, glossy and matte, and a little Monster Kolor color change flakes for the pink parts as an added special effect. The custom is actually a mashup of 5 toys (Munny, Qee, Doma Bomb Eater and the little dear of which I forgot the artist. I also used lego and aquarium tubes, doll eyes and some found objects for the parts on the back. Oh, and tons of Aves Apoxie Sculpt.

Here are two more pictures.

Custom Jouwe WIP – update 2

Custom Jouwe WIP

The time is running out, again, but I am close to finishing this custom as well. Pictured above is the final stage before I start painting tomorrow. In the meantime I will develop a few nice waterslide decals to be positioned on this mean cyborg monster.

Custom Jouwe for TAG show – update 1

Custom Jouwe WIP

I made some more progress. The Bomb Eater now has a tongue. The top of it is still missing in this picture but once the Apoxie has cured I’ll add it. The head is quite a lot closer to finishing as well. The Bamba Boss face will be fitted through the remaining hole you see…
