Preferring secluded places outside the big cities many hive monuments have been forgotten or intentionally hidden. Trying to find these mysterious hideouts and scavenging for artifacts has become a sport for many adventurers. The dangers often far outweighing the possible rewards.

Especially religious cults and sects were very interested in hive mind technology and subsequent loss of individualism. Many gurus and leaders of such groups followed the path of the pharaohs building immense structures only to proclaim doomsday and have themselves and their followers buried alive with only their hive mind remaining.
