Awful Color Cuteness

I am still working on concepts for a few upcoming greeting cards. One of the characters that seems to be working so far is a little space cadet girl. Somehow I also stumbled over my pile of liquid water colors. Together it started to turn into a gaudy awful mess of colors and cuteness.

Some time around noon today I made these cards called “Zeitwerkarten” which are officially cards for logging the working ours of our local governments employees. These are a nice canvas as well.

Ginger Tea Bear Vinyl Toy

Here is a custom of a 2.5″ qee bear I did a few weeks ago previous to the “Zeichen und Wunder” exhibition at the Caricatura. It was among the three pieces that I contributed to the show. There is not much story to this one except that I was amazed to find out that the blister packing fits quite snuggingly into the tin box of ginger tea. This in turn inspired me to try to match the colors and design.

The some doodle I did in the last few days trying to find some cute character that sell well on greeting cards… Go figure.

The Octopus And His Friend

I have been tinkering with this sketch in Illustrator this weekend. Not quite done yet but already well into the right direction. Still not quite sure what to do with the background and if I want to keep the twat-dicked-bubble or replace with something less distracting…

Lamers And Their Faces (sketches)

Some stuff I’ve done since Wednesday. The first I made at work thursday – a futuristic dude with a gasmask and a silly hand puppet. Coffee can produce strange ideas when used as an inspirational tool (on paper, of course).

Frank The Custom Munny

This little fella is one of the things I’ve been working on lately. The background story is lame to say the least but I felt like giving him a bit more personality other than looks. All line work done by hand, as always.

Frank is not from here. He’s actually from outer space from a planet that can’t be spelled or pronounced in our language. Well one could image it as the combination of the letters XCZT, the sound an empty stomach makes plus that of a finger dragged across the surface of a movie poster. Frank (yeah, that’s just a pseudonym so we can identify him) is an environmentalist and was on his way to a conference but stopped by for a little visit on earth because he wanted to see some of its flora and fauna before it vanishes. While being here he thought it would be nice to get some cool tats as well.
